-finish writing 2nd chapter of Cursed (60%)

I had written 500 words yesterday, but just felt like it would be a waste of my time to bother giving it a separate post. I'm finding that this story is completely new ground in all aspects. So Nanowrimo will be here in little over a week. I'm not participating officially because I just have too much to do this November. However, I do plan on attempting to write 30k. That's 1k a day. Didn't write yesterday, though I had plans to. My brother just makes me so tired. Yesterday I had to stop him from flooding the yard. Today I had to put out an almost-fire. Wow, I take failure to the next level. I don't know why I can't just do this. I can write 1k in an hour and it's not like I don't have at least an hour to spare once a day. Ugh, epic fail for January goals. This month it'll be different, I swear. I'm going for about 30k this month. 1k a day. The extra 2k is coming from the missing 2k in the January goal for House of Cards. As embarrassing as this is to admit I only wrote about 1k in House of Cards rather than my goal of 30k. I gave up about halfway through the month because I got a very helpful little pep talk from Chris Baty saying a break from the novel is good, but if it's not complete we should aim to work on it in January.
